I'm starting to regret my choice to drive myself to Starbucks to "get work done." I read my pre-lab, and then got distracted by the three people on their phones, the four people having a family reunion two tables away from me, the Andrea Bocelli playing not quite loud enough to hear, but not quiet enough for me to ignore...

And a man just walked in that kind of looks like a thug version of Ben from Parks and Rec. 

Cutie Tuesday and a Quick Birthday Recap

 February 1 was my 21st birthday. Friday February 1. Saturday February second was the 50th anniversary of the Groundhog Party in the Park at my school (second largest Groundhog celebration in the world). And Thursday was Groundhog TGIT (I know you can figure what that stands for). The whole school goes to the school's "restaurant"/patio and listens to live music and drinks $1 beers and show up to class hungover the next day.

Friday night... started at Taco Diner with many Mambo Taxis and a cougar sitting next to our table taking pictures of us. Followed by the Katy Ice House and seeing all the alumns I missed so so much (back for to celebrate Groundhog). Then to the Den and from there... dislocated my kneecap while I was literally standing.

A day late, but yesterday I  actually happened to be at home and got new pictures of ze dogs 

(because I don't have 100+ on my computer already).

Without going into details, I got to go home for less than a day - got in Monday night and left Tuesday around 6pm. Quick trip, but it was nice to see my family and sleep in my bed for a night.

Cutie Tuesday and What I Wore to Evade Jury Duty

important note: I did not really evade jury duty 

This morning I was called in to jury duty and this entire week leading up to it, I wasn't necessarily filled with the expected dread. But when my alarm sounded this morning at 5:50, I realized why it is that people aren't usually keen on receiving their summons in the mail. Yet I still had that little bit of excitement in the back of my mind that was eager to serve my civil duty by sitting on a jury. Which was quickly squandered by sitting on the freeway for 20 minutes only to move five miles. I understand you, rest of America, I am not a fan of jury duty.

Ok, I can't really say I don't like jury duty because I postponed mine due to the fact that I'm a student, but I do hate getting to jury duty.

This morning (while still a little excited and curious about JD) I had no idea what to wear. It wasn't until I loaded the pictures onto my computer that I noticed (1) I must have subconsciously been feeling really patriotic and (2) it's the same outfit as the only other time I've included a picture of myself. I do own other clothes and I do wear other clothes, but today I wore the same clothes.

Cutie Tuesday: Pico the Male Model

Yesterday was... pretty eventful. I tried a latte with real milk for breakfast. Not a fan. Then I found out who Gossip Girl is via Tumblr. Watched Sweet Home Alabama. Went for a run/walk back from LMU in the freezing cold. And suffered immensely from my allergies brought on by our Christmas tree.

Probably a solid 25% of my day was me wandering outside to go hang out with my puppies (my 7-year-old chihuahuas). Maddie sulks around while Pico runs up to me eager for affirmation that he 'is the best little dog everrrrrrr. Yes you are. Yes you are, Pico!' He knows praise doesn't come from nothing, so he does indeed work for it. As in, he works it.
